Woo-hoo! Proud Mummy Moment!
We're all excited here this evening. After the day from hell with Moon Child #1 who has had what can only be described as "The Arse" all day, just when we're getting to the point of utter despair - Moon Child #2 lifts his arms to be picked up and says "Mama".
Bearing in mind that Moon Child #1 is autistic and didn't say 'Daddy' until he was nearly 3, this gave us great cause for celebration. Moon Child #2 is 8 months and has always been rather more gobby than his brother. The mother-in-law will be gutted, she spent ages with him yesterday trying to get him to say "Dadda"!

A time for reflection
It's been another busy week at Bright Moon Central, there really never are enough hours in the day.
We've had some sad news concerning one of our closest friends, so things are pretty sombre at the moment. It's really brought it home to us how you never really know what's going to happen and how we should make the most of every minute. Tell your loved ones how much they mean to you every day and make time for your friends. Make the effort to keep in touch, don't keep putting it off because there's always tomorrow. Because sometimes tomorrow is too late and you can't go back and change things.
Be kind to each other and remember to smile, smiles are infectious and you could brighten someone's day. Don't take life too seriously, a day without a laugh is a wasted day and days are too precious to waste.
Cherish your children, they really are the future. Even when they drive you mad and make a complete mess. Laugh with them rather than shout at them. There's plenty of time to clear up later.
Give at least one person you see today a hug. A hug can make the worst of days seem a little better.
Keep smiling, we hope you all have a good week

Busy Busy
Our entire computer system crashed on Monday morning so we've not been able to do any work at all. Which, lets face it, has not exactly been any great hardship with all this fantastic weather!
Now we're up and running again, it does mean we've got a lot to do this week. After receiving most of the deliveries we've been waiting for, we have some fabulous new items to show you. So it's all hands on deck to get everything sorted and uploaded. We'll certainly be burning the midnight oil to get everything done as quickly as we can.
We held our Breastfeeding Awareness Week Competition Draw and the winner has been notified. She will be receiving a Hotmilk nursing bra and french knicker set. We will be holding more promotions very soon.

Where's my delivery?
Don't you just hate it when you know there's a delivery coming at some point, you just don't know when?
We're expecting a delivery of items from Steiff (can you guess what?!) and we're also very excited about getting part of the new clothing collection from the Dutch brand, Noppies.
But I'm impatient - I want them NOW! Getting a new delivery is like christmas all over again.
Check back soon for new brands being added to our collection.

World Cup Woe
So we crashed and burned yet again.
The kids have been waving their flags for days and learning the words of various footie anthems, but all in vain.
It did give me a chance to put a few more products online and tidy things up a bit. The webstore equivalent of housework I presume. Something else I've been a bit lapse about recently and I can't blame the England team for that. Or can I?
Our clothing range is expanding as is our toy collection, so check back soon for more new products.

Hello! I spy you!
We're live and kicking and waiting for orders! A very exciting day for the Bright Moon team. I don't think we've gone more than 10 minutes without checking our email or looking to see how many people have viewed the site. I fear it may become an addiction!
A special hello goes to our visitors from the USA and Germany. I wonder what brought you to our site?
We're all recovering from the chickenpox thankfully. I think Bob screamed solidly for 3 days, day and night. He saw himself in the mirror on his playmat today and screamed in fright! Poor baby is not looking like his normal attractive self.
Getting there with adding products, it will take us some time but we'll get there eventually. We've got some fabulous products to show you, so please check back regularly.

No pictures please, we're poxy
All in all it's been a busy week. Amid trying to get everything organised for the website, the kids chose this week as a good one to use more than their fair share of NHS services.
Michael was rushed to hospital by ambulance with suspected pneumonia (thankfully doing ok now) and then Bob came out in chicken pox. So inevitably, the following day the local press wanted to come out to take pictures of the three of us for a feature in the business section. It would have taken hours of airbrushing to hide Bob's spots and give him a lovely complexion so we had to decline.
We will be spending Breastfeeding Awareness week hiding away at home instead of visiting the various coffee mornings around the area. At least it's raining, it feels worse being trapped indoors with sick kids when it's nice weather.
