About Bright Moon

Bright Moon is the culmination of several years of wishful thinking. It started as one of those “wouldn’t it be a great idea if someone could.......” type things that you mull over with friends occasionally without ever thinking that you’re going to get the opportunity to actually do something about it.

The idea for a new maternity, baby and toddler store had been in our minds for quite a while, when we had our first son Michael, in 2007 we struggled to find funky baby clothes outside of the standard blue and pink. There were some great designers out there but you had to look hard for them, there was nowhere that said “lots of bright, funky baby clothes over here ->”

By the time we had our second son Robert in 2009 we were buying almost everything online, buying one thing from this shop and another from a different shop. We started to think that it would be wonderful if all these fabulous items were all available from just one shop.

We found it very frustrating shopping around for something out of the ordinary and a bit special. What you will find here are innovative ideas and quality products for Mum, baby and toddler. If I wouldn’t use the product myself, or think it unsuitable for my own baby, I certainly won’t be selling it to you!

At Bright Moon, we aim to bring you a collection of great gift ideas and really funky baby and toddler clothes and toys that clearly break away from the norm and which are not generally found in the UK high street stores. All clothes are made from natural fibres to be kind to your babies skin, including organic cotton, bamboo and merino wool. Items are specifically sourced from around the world to provide our customers with a choice of quality products.

The name “Bright Moon” was a crack of dawn flash of inspiration while sitting up feeding Robert one morning. It was 3am, it was dark and there was a bright moon in the sky!

Although we are an online company, selling to the world, Bright Moon is also a local company. We are available to do parties in people’s homes for groups of friends, antenatal groups, postnatal groups etc. If you see something on our website and need it urgently, if you live locally give us a ring and we’ll see what we can do. If it’s in stock we’ll drop it over to you.
